This documentary records the perilous escape journeys and live, death-defying struggles of North Korean defectors who risk their lives crossing borders in search of freedom.The film exposes the horrific reality of human rights violations perpetrated inside North Korea. It unsparingly depicts the legal instability and the constant threat of forced repatriation—including human trafficking—that defectors face as they travel through third countries, such as China, to finally resettle in South Korea.Furthermore, it captures the relentless rescue operations led by courageous North Korean defector women who, having already crossed the line of death, now fight across borders for the freedom of those left behind, raising a collective voice of solidarity to advance human rights.
